Object description: Free reed mouth organ; roughly cut joint of bamboo, closed by node at one end. Rectangular hole cut through one side and overlaid with rectangular plate of bamboo. which has a free reed cut in it, the plate fixed with wax. Mouth covers the reed in playing. This specimen was for making a noise at ceremonies before the burial of a poongyi.
