Object description: Black lacquered leather bow case with one straight edge, the other, widest at the opening curves inward to a bulbously fluted base. The edges are decorated with strips of leather which have been cut with rows of latitudinal slits and silk interwoven through these. There are a number of metal fixings riveted into the leather including a large hoop. A wide length of red felt is attached for use as a belt.
